This gentle story about a family of rabbits gazing up at the moon is the perfect book for bedtime. It features a beautiful light-up moon on the cover, and each of the pages depicts a peaceful night-time scene.

The story spans a lunar month and we and the rabbits watch the moon as it waxes and wanes. This is a lovely, simple introduction to the different phases of the moon.

The book’s illustrations are gorgeous: on each page the family of rabbits is silhouetted against the moon. In addition to the black and white, there’s a muted night-time colour palette of blues, greens, greys and purple.

The lyrical rhyming text and the beautiful, striking illustrations perfectly capture the moon’s power to enchant and enthral.

Goodnight Baby Moon is a robust board book with glossy, high-shine pages and this, combined with the high-contrast images, make it an ideal book for a baby’s inquisitive hands and eyes.
