Monster Mummy has gone shopping and she’s unwisely left Boris holding the baby. Mishaps and mayhem ensue. Monster Baby ends up either perilously perched at the top of the slide or dumped in the stinky dog basket. She has an accident on the bathroom floor and narrowly escapes a day-long diet of tv and sweeties. It’s up to the reader to help put things right.
This is a truly interactive book. A purple fluffy Monster Baby with googly eyes is attached to the book with an orange ribbon and Velcro. The genius of this design is that she can be moved from page to page. There are Velcro patches at different points throughout the book and the reader is encouraged, for example, to put baby in her highchair, on her potty or in the bath.
Children will love playing with Monster Baby and the humour and lighthearted tone will be a hit too. The bold illustrations are packed with detail and things to giggle at.

Thanks for reading. It’ll be great when Sam is old enough to get the humour too. At the moment, he’s still at the stage of chewing Monster Baby!
