We love a Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet collaboration and this festive picture book is a real cracker! It’s Christmas time and all the houses along the street have beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the windows. All the houses except one. There’s no tree at number 34.
Inside there’s a real ruckus as the decorations chase the tree round the house. However, the tree is adamant: it will not be decorated. It has other plans; it would rather be baking, cycling or watching tv than standing in a pot with a star on its head. This does not go down very well with the decorations who want to take their place amongst the tree’s branches. So Bauble, Belle and Tinsel hatch a plan. Maybe there is a way to decorate Tree after all…
This is such a fun book – full of warmth and wit. It’s silly and madcap and we love the rhyming text. The pages pop with bright colours and the sparkly holographic cover makes this a really special Christmas book.
