My Colourful Chameleon is a fun picture book about a little girl and her pet chameleon who keeps getting lost. She goes missing again and again and her family are always searching for her – much to the annoyance of the little girl’s mom. The chameleon disappears into her surroundings, making her difficult to see, and sometimes catching an unimpressed mom unawares.
Children will have fun spotting the chameleon on each page – it’s a lovely interactive element and it also reinforces children’s knowledge of colours. The book, with its humour and bold colourful illustrations, will really appeal to young readers. They’ll also love how the characters’ faces are full of expression. The beautiful rainbow chameleon (who even sparkles on the front cover) will be a big hit too.
There’s a nice extra at the back for parents and teachers: a ‘Next Steps’ with lovely ideas for the classroom or for extra learning through play at home.
