This year my son, Sam, and I have had lots of fun discovering painted rocks hidden in our local parks. It’s a craze that has really taken off all over the country and we were keen to join in. How very fortuitous then when this brilliant book arrived in the post!
Painting Rocks is packed full of different designs and ideas for you to paint onto your rocks. It’s full colour and there are lots of photographs to show you what to do. For the more complicated designs there are step by step instructions. As well as inspiring you with design ideas, the book lists what equipment you’ll need, gives painting tips and tricks, and offers advice on hiding and finding rocks. There’s even suggestions on how to host a rock painting party. At the back of the book there are also two logs for you to complete so that you can record information about the different rocks that you’ve found or hidden.
Sam and I found lots of designs in the book that we wanted to try. We were very pleased with our efforts and we really enjoyed taking inspiration from the book. We recommend it to anyone interested in this creative craze.
